5 YA Bad Guys Who’re Actually Cinnamon Rolls

I love bad guys in books. Especially when they’re actually just as sweet and lovely as cinnamon rolls. There’s nothing better than falling in love with a bad guy, right?! And then discovering they’re just the sweetest boys ever. RIGHT?! If you couldn’t tell yet, I really love a cinnamon roll who’s simply disguised as a bad guy. Here are my five favourites!

These Rebel Waves Blog Tour | A Message In A Bottle

HAPPY BOOK BIRTHDAY to Sara Raasch’s These Rebel Waves! I can’t believe TRW is finally out in the world! Sara’s Snow Like Ashes trilogy is one of my all time favourites and I just couldn’t wait any longer to read more of Sara’s magical words. Since These Rebel Waves is full of pirates, shores and open seas, Sara wrote a message in a bottle to the main characters of the book. Here it is!

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo | Most Spectaculair Heist Ever!?

A few months ago, I hadn’t read a single Leigh Bardugo book. Now I’ve finished all of them. How crazy is that?! I’m in love with the world of the Grisha. This review will probably be a little influenced by Crooked Kingdom, as I continued with that one straight away before I even took the time to finish writing this review. My opinion on both books are the same, though; they’re absolutely incredible. As always, my review is spoiler free. I hope you’ll enjoy it!

  • Bookish Stuff,  Tags

I thought about doing a book tag and found it didn’t exist yet. CAN YOU BELIEVE? Because I certainly can’t. You might’ve noticed my slight “obsession” with Queer Eye on Netflix. In case you have no clue what I’m talking about: Queer Eye is a make-over reality show in which five gay guys – the Fab Five – makeover (usually) straight men. Each of these guys have a different area of expertise: food, fashion. grooming, design and culture. I definitely recommend you check it out because it’s absolutely incredible. Don’t worry if you haven’t seen it yet, this tag is made to be fun for everyone!

    The Bookish Bulletin: July ’18 | SURPRISE, I’M BACK!-ish?

Hi y’all! After my latest posts, I went a bit quiet again. My days consisted of work, re-watching Queer Eye and waiting for my online orders to arrive in the mail… Yay? One package that wasn’t actually an online order – more like a repair – arrived today and it was my monitor! I could’ve blogged perfectly fine on my MacBook alone (and I actually did!) but just having this thing on my desk and having cleaned up my room has helped me so much to get back into being productive. I WANT to sit at my desk and working. Plus, the heat has toned it down a liiiittle bit,…

If You’d Like to Know Where I’ve Been…

Today’s post was a difficult one to write. I have so many things on my mind that I want to share with you guys but I just don’t know how. I don’t want this to be a rambly complaint kind of post! You’ve probably noticed my absence (but I won’t blame you if you didn’t) and I just want to try and explain why I’ve been gone for so long. I don’t think this will be a “fun” post, but I need to get this off my chest.

The Bookish Bulletin: May ’18 | Celebrating Two Years of Blogging & More!

Well, hello everyone! I feel like I haven’t written anything new in FOREVER!? I actually haven’t been reading all that much either… Anyway, more on blog and life things in a bit! I want to introduce you to my new monthly feature: The Bookish Bulletin. I used to have a separate TBR, wrap up and monthly personal update (Behind the Books) and I realised how much work that actually is? I also read a lot of these kinds of “combined” wrap ups and I loved them so much, I tried to do it myself! It’s still a bit of a work in progress, but I hope you’ll enjoy reading this…

Furyborn by Claire Legrand | A Tale of Two Queens

Happiest book birthday to Furyborn by Claire Legrand! I got an advance reader copy in a Fairyloot box this past November and I started reading it very soon after I got it. So by now, almost half a year will have passed since I read it (which is crazy!) but my opinion stays the same: I absolutely love this book! I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for Furyborn’s release so I can finally fangirl about it without spoiling it! Ahhh, it’s about time I can share this review with you! Of course, it’s spoiler free (and very, very long…)

Geekerella by Ashley Poston | A Geeky Cinderella Story!

The US paperback of Geekerella with a brand new cover comes out TODAY, and I got the chance to read an ARC that included some bonus content! As you might know, Geekerella is one of my all-time favourite books. I listened to the audiobook twice since I listened to it the first time back in October last year and now I’ve “read” it three times total. I will never get bored with this book. It’s wonderfully geeky, quite romantic and beyond cute. Anyway, before I gush too much before we’re even into the review, let’s just get on with it!

    International Bookworms: Change of Scenery

Hey guys, I hope you don’t mind I was a liiiiittle bit late announcing the upcoming prompts for the International Bookworms meme! It’s been a real struggle coming up with ideas lately and I have to admit I lost my excitement about it for a little while. There’s an announcement about that at the bottom of this post, so please take some time to read it! Anyway, today’s prompt is “Change of Scenery”. Imagine your favourite book, except it’s set in your own country or area! How cool would that be? I’ve taken a few books and “changed” their setting to the Netherlands. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
