Hi everybody! I hope you enjoyed the first week of my Autumn-ish posts last week. I had so much fun putting together all these posts and I’m going to keep publishing every Monday through Friday for the rest of the month. Tags are one of my favourite things to do, so I thought ‘If there’s no Autumn tag yet, I’ll create it myself!’ I didn’t have to, though, because I found this super fun Autumn Book Tag and I’ll be answering all the questions.
What’s your favourite thing about Autumn?
Everything!? Alright, that’s probably cheating, ha! I love autumn because it’s just so beautiful! Even on gloomy and rainy days I just enjoy the weather so much! It’s also getting colder and darker and it’s just my kinda vibe, if you know what I mean. Also, my birthday’s in November, yay!
What book reminds you of your school days?
The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith. I read almost the entire series for book reports during high school and I really loved them back then! Kind of funny how they’re also kind of Autumn-ish because of the dark (black) covers and vampires are so halloween-y!
What cover reminds you of autumn?
That has got to be An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson! It’s such a gorgeous book with Autumn colours! The book takes place in the Autumn faerie courts as well, so maybe that’s why it reminds me of autumn? Anyway, it’s beautiful and hopefully I’ll be able to read the book soon! I’ve actually done a Waiting on Wednesday post about this one, if you’re interested in the book.
What’s you’re favourite horror or halloween story?
Erm… I don’t think I have one! I don’t like horror at all and I don’t think I own/read any halloween books, if I’m honest. Oh, I know one! Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Rigs is probably the most creepy-ish book I own, so I guess it counts for this question, hehe!
What’s your favourite horror or halloween film?
I don’t watch a lot of horror/scary movies, it’s not my thing! To be quite honest, I don’t watch all that many movies, either. I think the scariest shows I watch(ed) were Orphan Black and Stranger Things. Orphan black isn’t even that scary, honestly. The murders are just very gruesome, the body modification stuff freaks me out and medical stuff is always a no for me… Hehe! Stranger Things is actually really spooky, though, and I love it so, so much! These are about the only scary things that I watch, and I quite often cover my eyes while watching it!
What fall book releases are you looking forward to?
Most of my anticipated releases have already come out in September, but All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater will be out tomorrow, yay! There’s also the tenth anniversary edition of City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, the illustrated edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by J.K. Rowling and The Becoming of Noah Shaw by Michelle Hodkin that I’m really looking forward to.
Ah, so many books!
What autumn movie releases are you looking forward to?
I haven’t really kept up with movie releases at all because it’s so messy! I mean, there’s so many book to movie adaptations coming out all over the world, except in the Netherlands! (Fallen and Before I Fall, for example.) There’s a lot of TV premiers I’m excited about, though! Scorpion returned for a fourth reason a week ago, and this month is full of other premiers like the new show Dynasty, Riverdale season 2 and Stranger Things season 2. I’m so excited!
What are three books you plan to read this Autumn?
An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson, Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas and All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater. These were my most anticipated releases of the year and I couldn’t get them when they released, so I hope to get to them before the end of Autumn!
That’s it for the Autumn book tag! I’m not tagging anybody, but if you want to answer all the questions on your own blog, feel free to do so! Be sure to send me a link so I can read your answers, though! 😉
