Bookish Stuff,  TBRs & Wrap Ups

August ’17 TBR

Holy moly, you guys! It’s AUGUST! I’m seriously freaked out. Where has time gone!? Anyway, I’m glad because I really don’t like summer and I just can’t wait for the cold to return so I can wrap myself in a blanket and sip hot tea while reading a good book. I’m getting ahead of myself here, oops! Want to know what I plan on reading this August? Check out my TBR! It’s a little ambitious, but I’m going to try my very best.

Missed last month’s Wrap Up? You can find it here!

Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

I’m making it my goal to finish it this month! Even a chapter a day would help me get through this massive tome. I love the story, really, but it’s just so humongous that I struggle to get through it! Hopefully I’ll finally have finished it by the end of the month! It’s been on my TBR since forever, so it’s about time!

A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab

As I’m currently loving A Gathering of Shadows, I really want to continue with the final book in this trilogy as soon as I can! I don’t ever want Shades of Magic to end, but I don’t want to drag it out any longer than I have to. V.E. Schwab is an incredible author and I can’t wait to read more of her books!

Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova

I’ve owned this eBook for a while now and planned on reading it during my summer holiday. Unfortunately, I didn’t and I kind of really want to read it! Guess I’ll do it this month! One of my favourite reviewers has called this a Latina version of The Raven Cycle meets The Mortal Instruments and Alice in Wonderland. Erm… That sounds EPIC! Cant’ wait to get to this one!

The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco

Elemental magics and necromancy?! SIGN ME UP! This is another eBook that I bought on sale and didn’t get to during my summer holiday. I have quite a lot of those, so I’m going to try and finally read all of them! I’m a little bit scared to start it because of the low ratings (especially form my favourite/most trusted reviewers) but I often like things others don’t like at all, so I should be fine, hehe!

Queen of Shadows & Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

I was planning on rereading the Throne of Glass series in one go last month, but then I flew through them so quickly I paused it. I want to reread the series in preparation of Tower of Dawn, so I’ll probably keep these for the last two weeks of the month or so. This way the story will be fresh in my mind and I should be able to get through Tower of Down without struggling to remember the details of Queen of Shadows. Plus, I’m super curious as to how Choal influences Empire of Storms! I mean, who knows what that guy has been up to!

I’ve really been struggling with my TBRs these past few months. I just realised I didn’t even do one for July!  I’ve really been reading whatever I feel like at the moment, but that makes TBRs a little difficult. This month should be better, though. And with all the new releases I’m looking forward to, it should be getting better! I don’t know how much of this I’ll actually be able to read, but we’ll see at the end of the month, right?

What’s on your August TBR? Happy reading!

I loved Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I managed to finish it in a couple of days (despite the large amount of pages, haha). I really want to read Crooked Kingdom and Cress in August!

Wow! That’s actually so impressive, hahah! I usually manage to read the Sarah J. Maas books in a few days but with this one I just can’t seem to do it!

I’m really into the Lunar Chronicles, but Crooked Kingdom sounds amazing! Happy reading! <3

If Umbridge could just not be a part of Order of the Phoenix, I might reread it! But I just can’t stand her enough to watch the movie or reread the book. Good luck with your TBR!
