Bookish Stuff,  TBRs & Wrap Ups

June ’17 TBR

June is upon us! Ahh, the year is going by so quickly! I remember writing my May TBR like I did it only yesterday! I’m going on holiday this month, so I’ll be reading lots and lots of books! I’m finally picking up the next Harry Potter book and I’ll be reading some contemporaries during my holiday! Want to know what else is on my TBR? It’s all in this post!

Want to know what I read in May? Read it in my Wrap Up!

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

This has been on my TBR for the longest time! I listened to a bit of the audiobook a year ago but that didn’t work out. I put it back on my TBR and bought the physical book. I finally have time to read it and I am beyond excited!

The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas

I’ve read every Throne of Glass book, except for The Assassin’s Blade! I ordered book one to four a year ago, continued with Empire of Storms and didn’t get this one until a few months ago. The reason I got it was rather pathetic, to be honest. I had the worst day ever, so I randomly decided to order this. I don’t even remember why I was feeling so bad! Anyway, I was super busy and I only read a few pages before putting it down and reading other things. (Again, I don’t even know what I read! – There’s a gap in my Reading Challenge…) Anyway, I’m finally picking this up! YAY!

Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

I still haven’t finished the Harry Potter series! *hides* Book 6 has been on my shelf since December, I think! I bought in the Harry Potter pop up shop in Utrecht when it was still here, read book 5 and never continued. I wanted to, trust me. But with 800 pages, I’m very intimidated. Sure, I’ve read books that were 700+ pages, but 800 is on another level. Plus: it’s only a UK paperback! I’m going to break the spine of this one for sure! I’m reading it this month because I’m going to Germany and my holiday is perfect for reading this book!

A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard

I finally bought a contemporary book, yay! A Quiet Kind of Thunder is about a girl who doesn’t speak and a boy that can’t hear and I’m just so interested! Plus, the book is really pretty with its pink and white and shiny gold! I tend to read more contemporaries during summer, so I’m really excited about it!

The State of Grace by Rachael Lucas

This is another contemporary book I bought at Waterstones when I was in Amsterdam last week! This is about a girl with Asperger’s and I cannot wait to read this. The main reason for that is because it’s about autism. Long story short: Last year I was tested for autism, and basically I’m like very, very low on the spectrum. Plus, my brother is autistic. Basically, I’m just really interested.

Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab

I got the Kindle editions of A Darker Shade of Magic and A Gathering of Shadows and I’ll be reading this during my holiday in Germany! I can’t wait to read more of Victoria’s books because I LOVED her Monsters of Verity series. I might actually get A Conjuring of Light, too, when I finish these!

The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco

Another Kindle book! Over the last month or so, there have been quite a few sales on Amazon with books from my TBR. Whenever a book is on sale, I get it without even thinking about it. By now, I must’ve saved about + €50 on eBooks by getting them during sales. Anyway, is about witches and it has a BEAUTIFUL cover. There’s a lot of mixed reviews about this book, but I’m looking forward to reading it.

Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova

This book is about a witch who hates magic, OMG! The synopsis begins like this: “Nothing says Happy Birthday like summoning the spirits of your dead relatives.” I’m intrigued! I found the beautiful purple/gold cover of this book in Twitter and I. Was. Sold. Apparently it’s sort of a Latina version of The Raven Cycle meets The Mortal Instruments meets Alice in Wonderland? Another one I’ll be reading digitally during my holiday!

I might get a Kindle while I’m in Germany! But I’m not sure yet, since I have an iPad as well… Anyway, I’ll be reading mostly ebooks on my journey and I’m quite sure I’ll read way more than is on my TBR! My record is something like 5 books in 3 days, hehe! Let’s hope I’ll bring enough books!

What do you think, should I get a Kindle? And what’s on your June TBR?
