Top Ten Tuesday – YA Characters I’d Like To Revisit

It's Top Ten Tuesday! This week's topic: ten childhood characters I'd like to revisit! My list includes characters from Young Adult books!Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish! I didn’t actually know about it until about an hour ago, hehe! I was going through my Twitter timeline and found a post and I was sold; This seems like so much fun to do! So from now on I’ll be doing the Top Ten Tuesday! This week’s topic is childhood characters we’d like to revisit. I’ve chosen to make the list with YA characters.

Today’s topic is: Ten Childhood Characters You’d Love To Revisit As Adults (i.e. a novella or something to see what they grew up to be) — you could always just pick YA characters you’ve read recently you wouldn’t mind revisiting in 10 years or so. Or you could pick 10 characters and guess what you think they’d be doing in 10 years or 20 years. OR you could go the other way and wish for coming of age stories for adult characters you love.

Instead of childhood characters, I’ll be taking YA characters for my list. I read so little when I was a kid, I don’t remember a single book character from back then. (OMG! Shame on me…) But even if I did, nobody would know them because they’re all Dutch, hehe!

1. Wilhelmina from The Orphan Queen duology by Jodi Meadows

The first thing I thought when I finished The Mirror King was “How was the wedding!? Do they have kids?! What happens with the kingdom!?” Ahh! I need answers!

2. Marguerite from the Firebird trilogy by Claudia Gray

Even though the last book in the trilogy isn’t out yet and we don’t know how it’s going to end, I still want to know what she’ll be doing in ten years! Is she with Paul? Is she still travelling through dimensions? How’s Russiaverse Marguerite?!

3. Meira from Snow Like Ashes trilogy by Sara Raasch

Same as the Firebird trilogy, the last book isn’t released yet, but I want to know what’s going to happen to her! Is her kingdom still safe? What about magic? ARE YOU WITH THERON?! I need to know these kinds of things…

4. Lena from The Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl

To be honest, I don’t remember the ending of Beautiful Redemption. But Beautiful Creatures is pretty much my all time favourite book, so I need more of it, hehe.

5. Tessa Gray from the Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare

The epilogue from Clockwork Princess was one of the best things I’ve ever read – honestly. I loved it so, so much and I want to read more about her in the present.

6. Clarke from The 100 trilogy by Kass Morgan

I only read Homecoming a while back, but I already forgot the ending! Ah, I really am terrible when it comes to remembering book endings, am I not? How’s earth, though? And what about Bellamy?! *cough* Bellarke!! *cough*

7. Penryn from The End of Days trilogy by Susan Ee

I actually haven’t read book three yet, so I have no clue how this trilogy ended… But I hope they beat the angels and they haven’t come back! I hope Penryn’s safe now! And she better be with Raffe!

8. Juliette from the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi

They actually call this trilogy Touching Juliette in Dutch, which sounds better than Shatter Me to me! Anyway, I need more of Juliette and Warner! Pronto! ASAP! NOW PLEASE?!

9. Shawn Cassidy / Violet Blake from the Violet Blake Series by Bre Faucheux

You might not know about this eBook – and a review will be up soon so you can read all about it – but I need more! The ending was kind of abrupt and thinking about it makes me really sad because I love the characters and I need to know how they’re all doing.

10. Evie from the Paranormalcy trilogy by Kiersten White

Most of the time I don’t even remember reading this trilogy… But when I do remember, I remember how much I loved it! It would be fun to see what everyone’s been up to.

What YA characters would you like to visit in ten years?
